The last quiz of the academic year was a great success despite being deep in coursework season. We saw 7 teams battle it out across 6 rounds with 2 new quiz writers (thanks guys!). Several strong rounds from “Hapax Legomenon” led to the from breaking out into the a lead in front of “Tuxedo or Tuxedon’t” and “Breakfast means Breakfast” in second and third respectivly.

Having to puzzle out a location from a paragraph written in one of it’s native langauges for example:

“Alors, voici la première description. Dans cette ville, qui est la capitale du pays dans lequel Macron est le Président, il y a un grand nombre de musées et de ponts. Quelques musées qui se trouvent ici sont le Musée d’Orsay, la Louvre, et, malgré le fait que cela ne soit pas techniquement un musée, l’église de Notre Dame. En plus, il est possible de trouver ici une grande tour, construit en mille huit cent quatre vint sept par Gustave Eiffel, après qui cette tour est nommée.”
